spanakorizo
you can easily put in the packages so you can check it in the installation but i;m not sure if the dvd will be bootable after you burn it you can try to copy the dvd in the desktop for example and go to folder system/installation/packages and paste the package there or maybe if it is a kext and not a package you can paste it in /system/library/extensions of the dvd but i don;t know if you burn the dvd again it will bootable maybe there is an app for it ..search but 1st you can try to modify it ,burn it and try to boot if it boots everything will be there p.s. elina na keraso kana piato ? SomniusX
I think that there is a program out there that rips the boot off an .iso file.. so you can re-build it and make it bootable again.. but i think if you edit the .iso with e.g. poweriso or other similar .iso handling softs it's gonna be ok.. i'm gonna try this and test it on vmware.. what do you say my friend spanakorizo..? edit : There is also the wiki page http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.ph...t_Patching_Listthat i think helps a lot.. check it out! SomniusX
I'll ask my Mac-Freak friend.. (he was the one that translated the whole (!!) panther, tiger and now has ready leopard in Greek, plus the damn iphone (i have one) But i've managed to edit the win xp iso several times to insert stuff inside for later use, like useful progs and such.. and it was still bootable when i burned it.. i don't know.. it needs testing and i've lost my damn dvd-rw (damn) :damn: arg# tin trela mou mesa gamw!! arg# edited : what the hell am i saying.. vmware reads iso's.. so.. i'm gonna test it... but ..heh.. 1st thing tomorow.. s3n4te
Nvm with a bit of searching, I found that you can use a program called Transmac Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/78138-how-to-inject-kexts-into-a-dvd/#findComment-553270 Share on other sites
SomniusX
With Transmac you can read real mac cds or drives the thing is that when i open e.g. the uphuck distro with poweriso i "can" see the contents.. so it is really cofigurable.. you can change the contents of the iso with poweriso.. check it out! Hagar
In order to add kexts to the DVD so they will be loaded at boot, they must be included in the kextcache on the DVD. To add them, you need a working OS X install (mac or hack) and a load of free disk space. The technique is the same as that in macgirl's excellent guide >here the extra kexts you wish to add must be placed in the folder from which you build the cache. Afaik, there is no way to do this without OS X. SomniusX
So the way to do it.. it trickier than i thought.. damn.. And i'd like to have a way to make my own kext'ed installation dvd so i wouldn't need to pre-patch or try to make it work for like ages.. Alas, it works.. and i'm happy.. Damn those fast-as-hell graphics rock my world!!! p.s. i've got problem transfering my iphone data over to the leopard disk cause of the purple/orange situation of my motherboard.. at least i'm having fun.. and thats good!
