Hi All,

Another update from me:

Thanks LS8 for the updates on your pack, I've got LEO up and running great using vanilla, your kexts and EFI-studio strings. I'm running this on a revision 1,1 DS4 board with BIOS F8.

I still have one anoying bug: sometimes (random) I get a kernel panic (the your computer has crashed please reboot grey screen). This happened already 5 times in a week. I _think_ it might have to do with the JMicron 64 I'm using, as I've got 4 GB RAM.

What do you guys think or did you had the same issue and how did you fixed it? Please let me know.

Hi,

I have a problem that i dont found solution.

Everything works well until the system starts to fail respond to mouse cliks, then the system freeze, but the mouse continues to move, and after a few seconds everything goes back to normal quickly!

Anyone with a similar problem or solution for me?

After experimenting with overclocking, I found that osx doesnt like memory running faster than 800mhz. I have it at 800mhz atm, and its stable. Hope this helps.

Yes it's the Bios for the Revision 2.1 of the Gigabyte P35 DS4.

I allready have disabled the overclock on the PC, but the problem remain!

My MEM are 1066Mhz stock!

Should i try with 800Hz mem?

Many thanks

you have overclocked to 4,3 GHz. That sounds a lot to me! If the Problem persists with lower overclocking:

I don't believe, this problem comes from the hardware. It might as well be a software incompatibility. Have you looked into Console, what shows up there?

I have tryed with no overclock and with 800Mhz mem's and i have no luck!

I think maybe its related with large disk access, when i'm decompressing a large dmg i have this problem often!

could it be a kext problem? I'm using the ones in the first post!

What i have to write in terminal to get some usefull info?

many thanks

I solve all my problems!!! :D

To solve the Time Machine problem, i had to install a patched IONetworkigFamily.kext, and reboot!

For the sound i installed the Chameleon EFI insted of the PC EFI and solved the problem too.

Thanks for all the support.

My system is now 100 %, its time to enjoy...

  • 2 weeks later...

1/ ls8v12 is fully compatible with 10.5.5, no kexts from the pack need updating

2/ 10.5.5 is not compatible with some third party LAN cards (like my OvisLink LFE-8139HTX) - the system does not even boot up after upgrade

Updated to 10.5.5

Already installed 10.5.4 the ls8-method.

Booted from external or second System

Installed 10.5.5 combo update

reinstalled ls8 v12 post-patch

ready to go

I did the same thing, like usual, but this time i get a Kernel Panic during startup... :(

[EDIT]

I deleted appleIntelCPUpowermanagement from extensions folder and now system boot again on 10.5.5 .... Don't know why the postpatch script from ls8 v12 did not deleted this file :happymac:
