Alessandro17
Awwwww no!! It says Intel SSE3 only!!! What happened to SSE2 support?? Come on people, if you have a PC which only supports SSE2 you have a dinosaur. Scorpio123
I am getting an SSE3 capable processor PC soon, but in a couple a minutes.. I want to be able to run this on my laptop too... And Revenge is right... There are 10.4.9 kernels, 10.4.10 kernels and Netkas has indeed made a 10.5.1 kernel for the ToH release, so asking if uphuck was considering it was a perfectly legitimate question...... cuffless
Noob question. Before i download i would like to know if there is any chance of this working with a dell mobo? i have a SSE3 processor its just the mobo im worried about
cabron
Actually, hasn't netkas been making the new lopard SSE2 kernels? Or else, what is ToH including in their releases? yeah, but lets think on the time it was full optimized and didn't hard to make the sse3 emu runs smoth on sse2 machines. I do not acuse or flaming anyone because their still doing sse2 kernels is a great effort, but today its hard to see a good sse2 kernel working like a charm without so many panics, lack of performance, issues since the last semthex builds for 10.4.8. The toh rls with his kernel i cannot reach at the end of install without freezing after skip or checking the dvd and by this excluding the fact of {censored} performance on install by looking the mouse pointer flicking, I also saw many people with the same or other issues under sse2 machines. Until i see a 'good powered' sse2 leo kernel i will keep in my mind the sse2 support is over. @Alessandro, well.. depends where do you live. Ha yes its cheap at your local. It might help us help you. Yeah, I'm a stickler for the details. This might seem like common knowledge regarding seeding but I see a lot of newcomers here complaining that they actually have to wait for the download. The file is very new and so far, there are still only a few seeders. Be patient. As more people get the file, there will be more seeders. And once you do acquire the file, be a sport, try to keep seeding it back to others as long as you can. (and that does not mean only until you can burn the disc) It's all part of being part of the community here.

Before i download i would like to know if there is any chance of this working with a dell mobo? i have a SSE3 processor its just the mobo im worried about If you join to ask questions, at least take the time to research your Dell's model number, or the motherboard's chipset. Could someone please post this to usenet. We would all be able to max out our connection speeds to get this reducing download times to minutes or a few hours not days or weeks Don't join just to ask these questions. The answer is no, that was uphuck's decision. It will be uploaded by 3rd parties to other sites if they choose to do so. yeah, but lets think on the time it was full optimized and didn't hard to make the sse3 emu runs smoth on sse2 machines. stevedude
sum of the folks asking sound new enuff that they're just going 2 ask basic ?'s -- like it or not -- 'cause there's a helluva learning curve 2 really knowing about pcs/macs/hacks. others, who aren't new to this stuff, r just going 2 vent frustr8ion, as i gave sum excellent examples of earlier myself. 4 seeds now dropped 2 3. hope the drop was eskurza/uphuck/whoever figuring his job was dun & not 1 of us. been connected 2 a seed 4 about an hour now & it has helped sum but not as much as i thought it might -- mostly just not going 2 infinity but still varying al over the place from 1-2 days up 2 a yr. also periodically my upload just completely cuts out -- really statistical & random effects like monitoring the d8a feed in an ongoing non-uniform data flow -- oh w8 -- isn't that just what this is? lol 4 seeds again.now that made a difference 4 a little bit. little over 1/3 dun after bout 11 hrs. right where most every1 seems 2 b . It was more of the question weather or not dell mobo's worked altogether. Anyway it is an 0WG855 model. The chipset is an Intel P965/G965. I have started downloading the file and it got to 37% quite quickly but now its come to a standstill. Im not complaing as i have been using torrents for many years and i know about the demand for new torrents.

REVENGE
cuffless, I believe you're mostly in luck, since you have a Dell OEM mobo with P/G 965 and ICH8. I think your setup should run v1.0i pretty well, but I wouldn't know about your other hardware components such as video card, etc.

Odly enough, my sse2 northwood desktop has better compatability than my sse3 core duo laptop due to all the ACPI issues I've run into. I just hope iATKOS works better than ToH did. GBK.Xscape
Hmm.. My hash on it is dif.. and the ISO is 2Gbs and flying along at 700kbs/s... O.oWonder how well it'll work with a 680i mobo Edit: Nvm, hash matches. Coulda sworn leopard was 4Gbs hmm It is only 2GB because the PPC code has been stripped, for a good reason since on a Intel computer it is useless. Agent
Stuck @ 35,9% forever now... I really don't get it - if you are sharing it, SHARE IT for pete's sake! If you are not, do not put it up in the first place. And to those who say "but this way more will be seeding later..." There are now 2800 people standing in line online waiting to seed! Or is this not a number good enough?
yanis
Obviously with many thousands of leechers versus 4 seeders it's going to take an eon for this file to break more than 1 copy visible.
