Numberzz
I know there is a way, but I cannot find it. Can anyone help me? It had something to do with using an AppleScript or something, but I can't remember. Thanks
lessew
I think it was something to do with a Mail rule... when you sent a message with a certain line of text you could write a script to start Screen Sharing.. but I'm not 100% sure. gray_hat
If by remotely activating Screen Sharing (i.e. over a network) and taking control of the computer, I do not understand what your problem is because I do that all the time. You don't need the Screen Sharing application running to take control. You can set a password in sharing preferences. But in the likely case that you are looking for something different, such as a way to do it over the internet, open the application, or remotely have a computer take control of another computer (I don't know why you would need that). If it isn't what I am talking about above, it would help if you would be more specific.
Numberzz
No, with different accounts, not over a network. I mean like over different networks, like remotely.
gray_hat
Well, in that case, I do have something of a solution, but it isn't the prettiest from the looks of it (haven't used it myself), nor is it part of OS X. LogMeIn allows you to take control of another computer, Mac or PC, over the internet through a web browser. There is currently a free service available. I really don't know much about it, so if you try it out please post your findings.
xtraa
1. register an aol-im or google-talk account 2. fire up i-chat 3. use the script to remote on call
