numberonekiwi
I am using boot0 and boot1h from 132 installer and replace boot-munky.bin file that is on the EFI partition with the EFI V9 from chameleon which sits on the 200 MB hidden partition problem with the lastest boot file is that it automaticly boots to partition 4 WIN XP to select which partition to boot I need to hold down F8 which gives me options of Leopard Snow or WIN XP all of which can boot how do I change this file ( i believe it is within the file called boot ) This version also does not allow /Extensions to be place on the EFI partition like the boot-munky.bin did but thats no problem to put a few kext files in the leopard or snow extensions folder I highlight them in green for esential for boot and red for other devices I tried putting co.apple.boot.plist in the root of EFI no luck
Stellair
@karaakeha-> can you give me the advantages of making a raid with 3 drives? You choose RAID5 then with 3x 300gb that gives you 600GB?
derpuma
USE EFI String for network as per guide Okay, I tried, but after that my System was not bootable. Had to reload a backup of my System. Can you have a look at my com.apple.Boot.plist? There might be something wrong!? What do I have to add manually to setup Ethernet??? <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>boot-uuid=58D52BF8-A518-4892-9462-C842644422D9</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>5</string> <key>device-properties</key> <string>4b00000001000000010000003f0000000100000002010c00d041030a0100000001010600041c0 01060000007fff0400160000006200750069006c0074002d0069006e0000000500000001</string> </dict> </plist>

derpuma
Okay, is there no way to do it after the install??? I have a backup OS X Retail DMG with all my Programs. So if i format the Raid. Build a new raid, Clone my Image in the new fresh formatted RAID. Do the EFI Patches, change boot-uuid in com.apple.Bootlist, then reinstall Chameleon for RAID like in your Guide, this should work??? Or do i have to start from a fresh install? BY the way, if i do an retail install from another running OS X, i should edit the com.apple.Bootlist manualy or is EFI-Tools able to handle that? derpuma
Yeah, it would be very nice to get a little tutorial how 10.5.6 RIAD with multiple HDD will work with Chameleon... I use the manual Install with boot-uuid entry... Copying the bootfiles to hidden Partition... Im very intrested in how this will work with 10.5.6 Do we have to switch from Chameleon to Boot132 or other bootloader?

To my understanding the DSDT update can still be done with Chameleon, the patch requires that or EFI v9 if i'm assuming this correctly. I'm assuming there'll just be files that we'll have to replace in the boot sector directory to crank out the update. I'm sill researching.
peach-os
ok - finally found the solution how to patch the raid config with dsdt copy both, boot and the dsdt.aml to all boot os x partitions "diskXs3" worked with chameleon boot version from mackerintels and fassls dsdt thread. originally I expected that a boot file on the root of the raid will override the other boot file - but it won´t

VN Man
I have the P35DS4 with soft RAID of 3 hard disks... Intalled dsdt and new chameleon boot file...rebooted with out problems. So I thought that I can install 10.5.6, BIG Mistake... 10.5.6 install to 56%, then came half transparency screen which means system hang and requires hard reset. After that only work with "-x" and "-s".... So took out the reserve HD which has 10.5.4, booted with that and use Pacifist to install on to the RAID, checked that /Extra has AppleDecrypt.kext and Disabler.kext...removed AppleIntelCPU... kext file from the RAID... rebooted with the RAID, the system trying to boot then HDs of the RAID seems to gone to sleep after working hard for 3 mins :-) And it like that if I used -x og let it boot with default... Any suggestions on how to get the system to boot from RAID again ?!

derpuma
The office 12.1.5 Problem is intresting. Do you have a blacklisted key? I think if you allow office to go through little snitch and Microsoft detects a blacklisted key it will block the application to start. Same here when my little snitch stopped some time ago. Had to reinstall with another key and then it worked again...
