tj_jackson
Excuse the English, is that I'm using Google Translate translation for the Portuguese to English, the more you can understand a little, sorry! All have ACHI as set I am a Aid, or rather, a boost here to hit my system, well before explaining, my system this way: I RAID-0 (striped) here, all operating normally,'m just not know that he is getting the boot, not detect it, most within the kalyway which is on another HD, he sees normal, copy files, delete, etc. .. . as does any hd. I used the Diskutil to see the details: Disk0 - Disk0s2 (partition) is part of the assembly of RAID - Disk0s3 (BOOT OSX) Disk1 - Disk1s2 (partition) is part of the assembly of RAID - Disk1s3 (BOOT OSX) Disk2 - Disk2s0 (RAID) here is the partition of the RAID set up on shows that are part of it Disk3 (this HD is to help set up and make boot and repairs) - Disk3s0 (EFI) - 200MB, here 's EFI partition that comes installed on the menu that gives you the option of partitions for esolher, unfortunately just not okay with the partition RAID I wanted - Disk3s2 (BOOT) - 1gb, this is a partition configuration if you need, I created an opportunity to have the most to configure, or EXTRA and it is all right here to set up RAID. - Disk3s3 (KALYWAY) - 10GB, here is installed Kalyway 10.5.2, I am using him to set all this part of boot, to test the RAID, etc. .... - Disk3s4 (Leopart Retail) - 9gb, is the image of the DVD LEOPARD RETAIL Well the probloma is simple, does not detect the partition RAID to boot, so I can not enter the RAID that is installed Leopard RETAIL, it's OK installed on the partition RAID, more after the first reboot failed to access it to boot again and continue installing that would be part of registering your name and login, only by kalyway that normally access the RAID like any other HD, and you can see that the files are usually installed there. Notes: bios on the HDS 's set as AHCI, the boot in the bios' s configured for HD (disk3), which is the kalyway and partitions and EFI BOOT so I can configure. there when I give the Boot, I apararece 3 options to choose 1 - BOOT 2 - KALYWAY 3 - Leopard Retail and the RAID nothing for me to choose, I would like to resolve it, would go a step by step? and the files needed to redirect the boot? My idea was to set the boot partition to load the RAID, adding ID information identifying raid, I noticed that on information from diskutil, it shows 2 IDs, a more up and one more down, to using low (RAID IDENTIFY) I tried to do what the guide teaches the first page has no more right, just not view the partition RAID Can you give me a light show or doing a step by step, it should be simple to do this. To Kalyway to do with the successes, the more will be fixed RAID that is installed RETAIL I made a video again, now more setei the hd 1, which is part of the raid as boot, both seting the hd 1 as the hd 2, gives the same error in the boot! check here I made the whole process, pointing out that I had done and repeat again. uping...... in rapidshare.... karaakeha1
there when I give the Boot, I apararece 3 options to choose 1 - BOOT 2 - KALYWAY 3 - Leopard Retail and the RAID nothing for me to choose, I would like to resolve it, would go a step by step? and the files needed to redirect the boot? First of all read the Guide again .You need to add RAID UUID to the com.apple.Boot.plist Also need to install Chameleon MANUALLY only as per guide, Probably You couldn't follow the guide
tj_jackson
Thanks for your help guys! The mistake here is mine that I made this UUID in the RAID boot partition and the RAID, then blacked out and came to the RAID first. could make a raid here, after many attempts worked, and it set the boot partition to show RAID partition and boot the system, with more to a problem in the boot of micro he will not! I tried 500 times to install the EFI v8 here, but not boot, turn the PC with hd1 (BOOT is the partition) and Boot primary, but not loads, only able to boot from the CD BOOT132 here, without him I can not run Mac , The LEOPARD RETAIL is installed on the partition RAID created by adding the two HDS and the BOOT urged the EFI V8 that 's not working properly. Follow the tutorial for installation of EFI, more micro not see the boot partition as the first case and as shown in the video below here Look: http://rapidshare.com/files/161883320/not_boot.wmv.html

Than from same working Leopard you apply the 10.5.5 update to Hard Drive you just installed Leopard 3.Apply Kext package 4.Chameleon or EFI8 to 10.5.5 Should be working without any problem. First time I installed Chameleon on GUID partition, then Retail Leo and Combo Update, copy/remove/add some kext - reboot - start loading and it hangs... Second time I did as you adwiced - the same. In both installations I was unable to repair permissions... For information - my rig: GA-EP45-DS3L, E8400, 2 Gb KingMax RAM, GF7300GT, Seagate 80 Gb SATA, Pioneer DVR-215 SATA, Plextor PX-116 IDE. How do I change the Model Name & Model Identifier? It is just Mac and .# respectively. Please help. Thank you Kind regards Next time I will post requests in the forum as you asked instead of PM. Really appreciate your work. Meantime I of course found that modding by DMICFG the bios on board helped clear our all problems. I needed to hex edit inside of the AppleSMBIOS.kext file the item AppleSMBIOS. Everything okay now. Thanks all you good people.http://forum.insanelymac.com/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif WP

I'm just stuck here, not understanding the instructions at all. I've downloaded the needed files. Me and many others followed the guide quite easily. Of-course Raid instillation is for little advance user, If you don't understand UUID and how to add or Don' understand where to put chameleon files before using terminal than its little I think Too much for you to follow. If you have any specific question post in the forum.

Barcode
Since my last visit here my system has worked perfectly. I've made a disk image of my Leopard partition and tested restoring the system with it, then reinstalled Chameleon. Worked 100% OK The only question I have now is about timed sleep (via the Energy Saver options in System Preferences): the system will not sleep after the set time if the system is inactive; it will sleep at a set time of day, e.g. 11:00 PM. Has anyone using Karaakeha1's guide got timed inactivity sleeping to work? Could Time Macine be interfering with that?

Glad Cloning works for you , I do the same for restoration or Cloning Yes timed Sleep is working , After I uninstalled software to read Write NTFS( i.e; Paragon Or MacFuse). This issue even affects the MacBook Pro Or others apple Macs I read some where. I updated about this on First Post ( Sep 18 Update)
