runstop
Hey everyone.. I've been using the ICH8 IDE SUPPORT kext the past few weeks for my asus p5b board. However, I just upgraded to 10.5.1 and it's stopped working. I've read about a few hacks for support in certain gigabyte boards.. anyone know if these are possible for the p5b controller? cheers, runstop
smorf
hi runstop, i also have a p5b and the patch you pointed at also killed my installation once.... but getting the ide channels working is quite easy. the p5b has a jmicron controller to operate the ide channels. getting it to work is just editing the JMiconATA.kext plst file, where you just have to change ONE number ;-) it´s described here: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=70071 good luck! smorf
