Restart: Works

Shut Down: Works

Used this video card because I was unable to get a 8500GT to work with 10.5.2 drivers.

SATA/IDE working: YES. SATA only here. Very strange behaviour without AHCI in bios. AHCI required.

Apparently there is a bug with a driver (decompressing large files freezes computer and Ethernet turning off) that doesn't happen when AHCI is on. Fixed windows XP driver to use AHCI. Seems to work fine.

Wifi & patches? not usedother peripherals/pci addon cards? none

misc hardware: MBOX2 works fine (but as yet Protools 7.4 suffers from interrupts. needs large buffer settings. Not quite sure)

We're looking to update the Leopard 10.5.1 HCL in the Wiki and so we need all our members who've successfully installed 10.5.1 on their systems to submit their systems details. The Wiki is the first stop for members when they look to install OS X on their PCs and so it's incredibly important that it be as extensive as possible, and that can only happen with your help. To find out the details of your system in OS X you can use :( (anyone care to recommend something)...and in Windows you can use Everest. To visit the Wiki click on OSx86 Project on the top right of every InsanelyMac page.

To make it easier to enter your system specifications, it's important that the template below is used when submitting. Simply copy/paste it all and fill in the relevant areas.

  • State what is and is not supported with you hackintosh. If patching was required to get something working, please provide a link to the topic you used, so it may help others with similar systems.
  • As tempting as it maybe please refrain from asking questions regarding other members systems. This is not the place for this! If you need to ask a question then use the relevant forum or PM the member directly. Posts distracting from the purpose of this topic will be removed.
