whats the deal with osx?? how com the only sound i can equalize is in iTunes? Everything else is flat and i cant find anything to equalize it. I even asked a guy at the apple store about this and he looked at me like i was foreign (or maybe a window user). Is there an app that will let you equalize all audio instead of just in iTunes? or do i have to just put up with flat settings for everything but iTunes?

your kidding right? in windows go to volume control, options, advanced settings and then for line-in goto advanced and you can adjust the bass and treble, youve been able to do this in windows since as long as a can remember.. its no 4 or 8 band EQ but it gets rid of the flat sound, even if you have flat speakers.

because streaming music off the internet sounds like {censored}, especially off a flash player. if, its EQ'd through the system it sounds totally fine. and you wouldn only hear a "pop" noise when you crank up the volume if you actually knew how to EQ your set up. The speakers I have only have a bass setting for the subwoofer but no treble settings for the speakers. In windows my speakers sound great because I'm able to adjust the treble under volume control. I cant find any option like this in OS X.

So, instead of people asking me WHY i want to do this, can someone just point me in a direction that i can find what im looking for?
