Thank,righteye for file.

My laptop now have problem with ATIinject sometime. If i add "@0,display-dual-link=2" lcd spilt in 4 part and backlight not wort but delete "@0,display-dual-link" and add "@0,backlight-PWM-freq=190000" backlight work. But can't shutdown or restart normal must push power button and hold about 5 second. Sometime my machine show only dark screen or blue line

May be all fault is vga card. Damm

Try using less informations inside the info.plist. All this minor/major details makes the injector to act strange. Try for instance the atiinject that worked for me ... No PWM-freq at all. Also try another iopcifamily.kext

You can consider to boot with no injector first and if you have qe/ci enabled is clear that some part of info.plist in the Atiinject is faulty.

i got the same problem with shutdown, i have to hold the power button for like 3 seconds. and in 1 of 3 boots i have a black screen, not sure why this happens, but i think it has something todo in which order the kext's are loaded into the system.

now i want to try out an efi string, so the information will be directly after booting in the ram. you said you tried efi strings, did you have any luck?

EDIT: i attached my Info.plist i use with ATIinject, maybe it will help ya.

EDIT2: attached also a ioreg dump from a macbook pro with an ati radeon x1600, where i got the pwm freq setting from, maybe there is another setting which will fix the issue.

greets, mushr00m.

Why not 10.5.5 ? ... Ok ...

It is known that the F3JP are harder to get the graphic working ... I'll try to get the original 10.5.2 files that are needed and patch them 4 you this week.

cheers

Hello!

What kexts I need to set?

Give me more info:

Device ID:

Ram: (supose is 126)

it is something like an X300 with higher clock speed than the X200 with lower clock speed and different memory, somewhere there ... i think

Someone posted here kind of success. I'll give a shot there and get more closer to the problem.

Hi!

For the last one or two weeks I am spending every minute of my spare time to get the graphics on my notebook working properly. I think that I read all threads belonging to this topic, but no success so far.

My setup:

- Acer Travelmate 5720 with ATI Mobility Radeon X2500 (aka X1700, device-id = 0x71DE)

- iPC 10.5.6 final

After a fresh install, graphics run out of the box with QE/CI enabled.

BUT i am limited to 1024x768 (instead of 1280x800) and have video errors below the mouse pointer (little squares).

Really tried everything to fix this, but all i get using ATIinject or others, is a blank lcd with backlight turned off.

It seems that booting continues properly and the system starts up ok, but I can't see anything.

Editing ATIinject's plist.info with my EDID did not help at all.

Here's the data, if anyone needs it:

00FFFFFF FFFFFF00 06AF7421 00000000 010F0103 80211578 0A1CF597 58508E27 27505400 00000101 01010101 01010101 01010101 0101C71B 00A05020 17303020 36004BCF 10000018 0000000F 00000000 00000000 00000000 00200000 00FE0041 554F0A20 20202020 20202020 000000FE 00423135 34455730 32205631 200A00AA

I completely ran out of ideas how to fix this.

Can anyone help me please?

Thx in advance!

hi maclvr:

i had the same problem, check my ATIinject Info.plist, the backlight-PWM-freq setting is important to get backlight, and for the drivers, i use dazza's ATINDRV, its the only one which works for me. The related posts are 1 or 2 sites past this one.

garnould try this Natit based on DiaboliK's one ... garnould_NatitX1700.kext.zip

I have the same Device ID: 0x71de at my Asus F3Se (ATi x2500 aka x1700 isn't it?) under iDeneb 1.3 10.5.5 but after garnould's kext again black screen only. Can u help me?

UPDATE

Now I'm install ATIRadeonX1000.kext from 10.5.5 and your garnould's kext. Nothing changed. Only 1024x768 aviable.

any progress for full resolution under 10.5.6 vanilla(don't really know, but it seems the kernel affects the NDRVDevice provider)?

mushr00m, can you post your ATINDRV and injector(natit,ATIinjector or something) you use?

i'm really stuck with 10.5.6, as i need it to work.. but the mouse artifacts and tearing makes me mad.. so i have the choice - to use software or loose my eyes

thanks

you do not need ATIRadeonX1000 to get resolution as this is the driverfor qe/ci

you need ATINDRV

YOu rule man! It really works - your ATINDRV works with one(I have really a dozen of different ones) of my Natit injections(seems to be Diabolic's one with modified plist) )

I'm reached a nirvana now, thank you )

p.s. if someone will be so kind to make an Audio install package or complete HowTo enable Audio(including where to get needed information - lscpi or something) - my happiness will have no limit )

I have the same computer (asus g2p)(original bios kalyway 10.5.1).

I installe the 3 Kexts and at the reboot The screen becomes blue and Freeze.

Can you help me ?by giving me all the kexts (for graphics x 1700 0x71d5) for the g2p and installation instructions?

Thanks

Cu drag Paul

;)

Someone from my "zone" hehehe ... ok

You want to stick with the 10.5.1 system? I really advice to update to 10.5.5 or 10.5.6 I managed to make a system install stick with the update to 10.5.6 and it works perfectly.

For now i'll upload the kexts you need. Remember that each version of the system requires the versions of kexts to be from that system version. If you mess-up with that, than the result is a black screen before entering the gui or a blue screen when the gui already started.

Here you get the files for AsusG2P for 10.5.1 system

Well, the Q-E is not supported, I can't change the resolutions and during the shutingdown => Kernel PANIC ;)

But i don't have the freezing blue screen & I can see my desktop !

If i installe the IPC 10.5.6(which kernel i install ??) can you upload all the kexts (graphics) (for the 10.5.6) ?

On 10.5.6 + yours kexts i'll have Q-e Supported &(résolutions choices)?

I'll be able to use applications who need grahics acclération (like cover flow in Itunes ^^) ?

Thanks !

Esti un scump !

Well ... if you install IPC 10.5.6 try using original kernel with chameleon EFI. If it boots then i'll send you the files i am using right now on my 10.5.6 system.

Right now i'am on the vanillia KERNEL with chameleon, And it boots without problems.

Please now can you upload all the kexts(graphics) i need for (10.5.6) my ATI x 1700 (0x71d5) ?

I hope you can help me...

Thanks a lot.

Ps : Why don't we crate a topic only about the Asus G2p ?

In Kalyway 10.5.1 with the 9.1.0 kernel i can use bluetooth and the track pad and integrated keyboard.

Grate you have the latest system ...

now you need this files for Ati : Paul_atix1700_1056_G2P.zip

and this for audio : audioG2P.zip

There is a topic only for Asus G2P started by Gaming Warrior but no update there since my las visit.

Post there any problems or discovering related with Asus G2P.

Salutari si bafta
