It's not that hard to build a bootable DVD which you can use to install Leopard on AMD, I've done it using the guide over at osx86scene.com. The best currently until someone rolls up the patches and postfix stuff into a DVD release. Are you experiencing any troubles with software with this release? No, it's just as stable as my MBP, although I haven't done too much heavy lifting with it yet. Screen sharing is really nice. I should update my Xbench and see if LLVM has made a difference. Any recommendations for a 10.4 installation that would work with my system, or even a way to get 10.5 working without first installing 10.4? I don't have a working Tiger installation to use in order to edit the Leopard disk. MacDaddyIRC Posted November 19, 2007 Share Posted November 19, 2007 There is a PPF to modify the ToH RC2 but it also needs after install Post patch thats the method i used works perfect after some mods. dident like the 15Gb limit with the Flat image so downloaded ToH's DVD and patched with the PPF and still used my flat image of Leo to patch and add mods that way you can use the kexts that work for you in the flat image in your native install worked perfect for me SSE3 & 64Bit. Well, I don't know who Leon is but yeah, pretty much. The issue is the need to copy various kernel extensions and run the post-fixes from another partition. If you have another Mac (laptop or something) you could use a USB adaptor. However, once it's up, it works very well.
