I installed using uphuck_10.4.9_v1.4a.iso and following this tutorial:

http://######.com/software/osxusbnative.htm

everything was ok, excepted for the long time needed to erase the partition (about 20 minutes), but after rebooting seems that my notebook can't see any bootloader into the usb drive. In the bios boot options i've the "removable drive" feature so i think i can boot from usb.

If i try to launch the boot utility from the osx dvd i can find only the dvd as option, so nothing to do...

ah sure i selected the mbr option before installation.

any advice?

Man, I'm sorry to be no help, but I stopped by to say that I'm having the same problem, just with ToH Leopard (RC2).

Dis you try to manually install the bootloader? Maybe it'll work for you.

edit:Also, be sure that the Volume you're trying to boot has the "Owners Enable" thingy enabled.
