Hi, are you on nForce S-ATA disks? In that case catch up on this thread: Darwin nForce4 ATA/SATA controller Cheers, - J Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/65158-partitioning-error-using-disk-utitly/#findComment-461401 Share on other sites

Probe53
Hi, well there is no current solution for some nForce SATA drives. Use an IDE (PATA) or USB disk to install OS, until someone comes up with a solution. - J Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/65158-partitioning-error-using-disk-utitly/#findComment-461986 Share on other sites

Probe53
today ive bought a IDE PATA HD 40GB to install osx but will osx see my sata drivers 1s installed and can i write to them like saving documents and stuff Hi, ok, good, I guess you are one step ahead on the OsX86 road now :-) Regarding, "see my sata-drives": it all depends on your SATA-controller, it may work it may not work. Take some time and read through the thread above to gain experiences from various stories of success or failure. You may also want to keep an eye on disk throughput of the IDE-drive since some people had problems there too. Cheers, - J Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/65158-partitioning-error-using-disk-utitly/#findComment-462759 Share on other sites

Will this affect performance? Thanx Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/65158-partitioning-error-using-disk-utitly/#findComment-475152 Share on other sites
