Yes, I remember my uncle used to clean his motor block with coke every summer! It also works great on rusty old scissors or stuck wrenches.

 

I wonder if Coke-Zero is worse or better than "classic". Ah, well. I guess I'll have to buy more mineral water from now on unless I want my bones to shatter by the time I'm 50.

Personally I hate Coke. I drink tap water, mainly. Also hot or iced tea and occasionally energy drinks (similar to Red Bull).

I got addicted to Coke while in Brazil. Haven't looked back since.

i don`t drink sodas for about 5 years,and i lost "Coke addiction" ... and i`m glad about that ...

coke is good (the soda, not the *snort snort, "aaaahhhhhh" stuff), but i noticed a dramatic change when i stopped drinking it on a daily basis. I lost some weight, and my mood was alot better. Now i just drink tea for my caffiene fix if i need it.

I have alway believed that Coke was rubbish and (very) bad for you.

i'd rather drink coke. by the way, the acid in your stomach neutralizes the stuff that makes cook good for destroying bones and cleaning toilets and stuff.

I wouldn't count too much on that. There is only a limited amount of rubbish your stomach can take.

I do drink it sometimes ..but i can say my only two addictions are weed and water ...no kidding there .Well sometimes i drink SoBe or Redbull (energy drinks).

you're right.

in your stomach you have about 2mol per litre HCl.

the coke has some H3PO4 and citric acid.

 

those 3 acids are only acidic acids, no oxidating ones, pretty harmless.

I didn't know a lot of those things about water. I don't drink much water and I have a problem with focusing on documents and the computer screen. I have to try that.
