ntloser
Hi, When I boot from the DVD to install, I get a PLIST error over and over. I am using an asus p5b deluxe wifi P65 chipset with ICH8R DVD drive on the J-micron controller. Any ideas? Thanks

ntloser
Thanks. All my HDDs are SATA and connected to the Intel ICH8R. My DVD drive is PATA and is connected to the Jmicron.I read another post where someone got it working on a giga-byte board with the same chipset. He used JaS.10.4.8.SSE2.SSE3.AMD.Intel patched with ppf1 I am acquiring that now. In his post he talks about changing the SATA settings to IDE ..Can't do this cause I also have a raid array on that controller.Err...After reading some more, perhaps I should get a SATA DVD drive. ntloser
I got it installed. I got a SATA DVD drive and the install worked. I even kept the ICHR in RAID mode. I was also able to get the Yukon Gigabit working with some instructions found here. Now if only I could get the Geoforce 8800 working.
