Successful install on the following PC using Uphuck's v1.3 DVD. Unfortunately there are a few incompatibilities. I couldn't find any info from users with Foxconn 975 mobos in any of the forums here so I decided to make a post. It might have been the search engine though. In any case I apologize in advance. ._.;

Motherboard: Foxconn 975XAB

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4GHz - (Used SSES3 files: Not sure how to check if it's using both cores.)

Ram: OCZ ATI 1GB DDR2 800 - (Works fine)

Hard Drive: 320GB Samsung - (Duh!)

Graphics Card: Sapphire Radeon X1650XT 256RAM - (Works great with Natit 1x00 drivers. Res 1680x1050)

Sound (onboard): Realtek High Definition Audio - (Used Azalia drivers: Not found)

Sound (pci): Sound Blaster Audigy - (Not found.)

Ethernet (onboard): 2x Marvel ports - (Not found)

Monitor: Sceptre X20WG Gamer - (Works fine. No drivers needed but thats expected.)

Going to see if I can try other combinations to get at least the 1 sound card working and the ethernet. If anyone can provide assistance or a push in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

For those that might care; I will attempt installing on an Inspiron E1705 while at work. I'll post how that one works out.

Inspiron E1705

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 2.00 GHz (Kernel Panic with SSE3. Works fine with SSE2)

Motherboard: MP061

RAM: 1 x 2GB (No problems)

Graphics Card: ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 (Found but needs drivers to get higher resolutions. Res: 1024x768)

Monitor: 17" Wide XGA+

Sound: Sigmatel 9200 (Not working with the Azalia drivers or the Sigmatel batch.)

Bluetooth: Dell Truemobile 355 Bluetooth (No files needed. Works fine.)

Modem: Conexant HDA D110 MDC (Was found.)

WiFi: Dell Wireless (Installed any files that had to do with wireless: Works as an Airport card.)

Ethernet: I'll check in a bit (Not working.)

Mouse: Synaptics TouchPad (Works fine.)

So this install leaves me trying to fix the sound card and the video card.

I have the Foxconn 975X7AB, and got it fully working.

First step you need to do is update the BIOS. The board I just got shipped with a 2006 BIOS version P15 on it, which would not work properly with my Core 2 Duo E2140. I updated to P31 BIOS and it works much better. <--- This required a boot floppy :)

For the sound (ALC 882) you need the Taruga patcher or the AppleHDA 0.4 installer.

For the network (Marvell 88E8056) you need to modify the AppleYukon.kext to add the 88E8056's device ID in place of the Marvell 88E8053. Find instructions for that here:

The Foxconn board can make a great system, after you update the BIOS and fix those 2 drivers. With all it's features, it's pretty close to a Mac Pro! And guess who makes the Mac Pro's motherboard? Foxconn.

I have all working except the JMicron eSATA/ATA controller on the 975X7AB. Firewire, ICH7/975, SATA, IDE, USB - all work natively. Audio and Network work after kext mods.
