Hi All,

well my gigabyte board bit the dust the other day when there was a power spike.

Fortunately the other components were unaffected and I sold the processor and memory to a friend.

I could not even think of selling the hdd's as they have everything on them.

Anyway this is the setup I have just bought.

Abit IP35-E review here

Core 2 Duo E6600

2GB Corsair XMS DDR2 800 Memory

ATI X800XT ( was on a budget and this cost so little it was amazing).

550W Antec Power Supply

I will be using my 4x 500gb Sata-2 Drives as per usual.

Here are the main things that made me chose this board it has Realtek ALC888 audio

and Marvell Gigabit Lan 88E8056 which I believe can be used in osx86??

As for the Radeon X800XT it is a gigabyte and passively cooled

I know the performance in osx86 will be poor but I will get myself another card

when I have the funds. This is a stop-gap solution as I only had £23 left to get a

PCi-E graphics card after I had bought everything else.

This will be replaced with a 256mb nvidia 7950 when I get the chance.

Apart from the Graphics card anyone see any major problems with this config????

Parts should be arriving Monday 13th/ Tuesday 14th.

Regards
