ChaoticBlankness
**This post marks the end of my "InsanelyMac" post virginity.** I just installed OSx86 to my spare 80GB IDE drive, install went fine and I think I customized correctly according to my hardware. (i.e. I selected AMD and the like.) However, booting freezes past grey apple loading, leaving me frozen on a light blue screen. At this point the system is locked up and I need to reset or power off. My specs are: Athlon X2 3800+ (939) Biostar TForceSLI (Nforce 4) 2GB RAM ATi x1900 AIW OS Harddrive , 80GB IDE Maxtor Lite-On (LH-20A1H-185) Burner Install Disc is a "JaS AMD-Intel-SSE2-SSE3 with PPF1 & PPF2". I'm new to the whole OSx86 scene, but I want to learn and would really appreciate any input from you guys. *cheers* Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/59678-boot-freezes-past-grey-loading-jas-1048/ Share on other sites
ChaoticBlankness
BUMP I've manged to get past the blue screen. (Loading Titan ATi X1x00 was causing it.) However it's very laggy and freezes and restarts after I make my first account. Any Ideas? chedabob
I had the same issue. I installed the non-titan ATi drivers for the x1000 series, and the login fix. When it finished installing, it worked fine. I got full resolution on my graphics card. Not sure about hardware acceleration though.
