yes, I recognize this problem since since some updates I made before. Playing H.264 videos is very jumpy. But only if the Quicktime components are used. If I force to use Perian (by move the quicktime components out of the way) everything works fine.

I guess, there's something going wrong with interfacing the video accelaration between quicktime and the graphic driver.

Hi,

you should remove ALL components. Just this one:

QuickTimeH264.component

You can find it in the /System/Library/QuickTime/ folder. As it is a directory with root access, you should do the following:

1) Open a terminal

2) sudo -s

3) mkdir /backup

4) mv /System/Library/QuickTime/QuickTimeH264.component /backup

5) exit

That fixed my stuttering problem as Perian is now taking over the decoding job. You can verify this by opening a H264 movie in Quicktime and press either cmd+i or select Window->Movie Inspector from the menu. In the new Window it will show up which decoder it is using.

Hope this helps.

How did you fix the quicktime stutter. I tried removing all the components except for Perian but then i got a bunch of errors using firefox and trying to watch a movie trailer. Any clean solution?

For the last 3 days i keep installing different driver solutions for my Sapphire x1950PRO PCI-E, from bronya, empty skull, all the packets that i could find on this forum. Still, i cant get it working.

My PC:

AMD x2 4400+

Mobo GA-M57SLI-S4

Video X1950PRO PCI-E (7280 1002)

I installed Leo4all v 4.1 (9.4.0 StageXNU kernel), and with the drivers on dvd for 1950, all i got was a black screen.

I managed to get to desktop after deleting Natit.kext.

I tried then bronyas drivers, empty skull, and i either got black screen, or a white screen, or blue screen.

I then tried installing first Natit, and after that reboot, and then install Atiradeonx1000 files, reboot again, and voila....no CE/QI, but i can change resolution....reboot again and white screen again. :( I think using this method i once managed to get also CE/QI, but again, after restart its white screen again.

Installing just atiradeonx1000 files, without Natit, will provide QE/CI, but i cant change resolution and i get some artifacts from mouse cursor when i scroll.

Could anyone tell me what im doing wrong?

Hello, i have a problem with the MTZeon 10.5.5 AGP.zip driver.

I use a with ASU updated to 10.5.5. Version of Leo4all v4.1.

Everything works fine, except my MSI Radeon 1950 512 MB AGP.

So I Installed MTZeon's AGP driver from this Thread for 10.5.5. Leopard.

The first time i ran the load.command, i looked fine and it said that the system have to reboot.

ok, but after the reboot i had strange graphic errors.

Then, I reinstalled my system witz all updates und try to install everything with the kext helper b7.

First i Installed the AGPGart.kext, reboot, and my 1950 was recognized as agp, woah^^

Then i installed the IONDRVSupport and the ATIRADEONx1000 kexts, and my mouse cursor und the desktop

had huge graphic issues, except the dockbar(?), strange

Then again reinstalling everything, and putting al the kext in the kext helper, restart, and the same graphic issues.

before i forget, my system is:

AMD x2 5000+

ASROCK AM2NF3

2 GB Ram

if it helps

(sorry for my english, i'm german)

edit: my Dev_Id is 7280

and what about the open gl thing??

what is it and what should i do with the open.gl.framework folder??

i copied it under system/library/frameworks but it changed nothing:(

I have the same problems as andreivoicu. Some times after I setup drivers - it works OK even with QE/CI... BUT! After I reboot one of my screen (CRT) is black and the second (TFT) is with black/white vertical bars.

I am almost crying. Because it works after install and not works after reboot. WHY? It is strange for me.

Last time - I install iDeneb 10.5.5 with X1950 drivers and first time after install finished the both screen was set to good resolution (differnt for each) ... but nothing attempt on the screens except mouse-cursor (there should be registration windows). After reboot - it became black for one and with bars for second.

Config:

Opteron 165 (2 cores) 1,8@2,7

9NPAJ-SLI

PCI-E ATI Radeon X1950 Pro 512M

3Gig DDR2

Yes. You replace file IONDRVSupport.kext to another IONDRVSupport.kext )))

Maybe problem openGL.framework . Should patch cpuid for amd )))
