I installed on November 6, 2007 for 9 A581 drives :)

You did metods :

1) install ati_x1950gt_pro.bz2

then:

2) install ati_7288.zip

3) reboot

4) -f -s

5) in terminal write :

mount -uw /

kextcache -k -z /system/library/extensions

6) reboot

Try !

 

If without natit.kext not work QE/CI , checkup the driver !

Bronya any hints on getting the Second Monitor working? I know we are close as it detects when it is unplugged and re-plugged in... And it uses that output if the primary monitor is disconnected.... Just no dual output..

It is a pity! I try, there such problem of an output ! It is not easy ! I do not have time to check up it...

Damn, I fresh installed ToH RC2 and tried the drivers and got kernel panic, can't restart now... And sound was not working and my dvd drive was not recognized... But those were fine (natively working) in BrazilMac install... Weird! Anybody can help about kernel panic?? x1950 pro 256mb... I imported my files from tiger install but it was the first thing I installed but then got kernel panic...

Driver for leo !

You install the driver for leo and reboot . In single user boot : -f -v -s

Then :

mount -uw /

kextcache -k -z /system/library/extensions

reboot

bronya - I may bee way off but could it be something with the fboffset in the Natit for output 1?

 

Yes it that the second monitor worked! You try:

 

@0,display-connect-flags : 1024

@1,display-connect-flags : 4 or 8 or 64 and etc

 

@0,fboffset :80000000

@1,fboffset :40000000

 

Further I cannot tell. The horse-radish knows it

Bronya, I'm redoing a fresh install now from ToH RC2 dvd, I will not import my settings from tiger this time but what are those directives you want me to do???

you install leo from dvd leo and only install driver for leo and not problem ...

((((I installed your driver and it worked perfectly.

but then i try to watch dvd, open IDVD or Imovie and they do not show any picture (actually Imovie quit unexpectedly).

I use the same install that I had for tiger. I suppose it is something with the OS (Brazilmac) or the Video driver.

 

Have you heard anyone with this problem?

Bronya, I did what you suggested and booted with -f -v -s then mount -uw / the kextcache -k -z /system/library/extensions and everything worked fine! System is stable, radeon is working, etc! But I restarted and still got a kernel panic... Do I have to do this all the time?? What do I have to do?

Thanks Scrizz :censored2: You're the only one who has answered me so far on this forum... I'm a beginner in the Mac world. But... you know what? :() Now I got fired up and I got another toy: Leo :censored2: So... After I managed to edit all the kexts and got CI &QE and dual view on Tiger I decided to give it a try with Leo (ToH) . So I got Leo working on my old hybrid pc. Now things get a little bit more complicated that I thought... :) I could use some help :D
