Hello,

I've seen that you guys have done wonderfull job optimizing Mac OS X for us normal PC users. I myself have a IBM ThinkPad T42P, which is not supported by you're versions. Is there a reason for this? I see that many other P-versions is supported, like the T43P a.s.o.

I have for a long time dreamt of trying OS X on my laptop, so is there any hope left for me and my T42P?

I think it has a ATI Mobility Fire GL T2 GPU.

Thanks

posted this elsewhere, just cutting and pasting really

IBM Thinkpad T42P

Used Jas 10.4.8 ppf1 ppf2

upgraded to 10.4.9 using http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...&hl=upgrade

NOTE: looks like there is a 10.4.10 instruction at that link now, you can try it, I haven't yet, but know the 10.4.8 to 10.4.9 instructions work.

uphuck will not boot, so don't try it

kookal 10.4.10, same thing, will destroy your working thinkpad

Atheros: use this guide and edit this file:

http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=23684

sudo nano /System/Library/Extensions/IO80211Family.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AirPortAtheros5424.kext/Contents/Info.plist

using mighty mouse to lessen tearing

Not sure why koolkal and uphuck won't work, don't have time to work on that.

Too busy playing world of warcraft on my Hackintosh. (and it works perfect) :)
