Takuro
Aluminum iMacs. Slim keyboards. These are two rumored products that have been flying around the Mac community in light of an upcoming update to Apple's Mac product line. There has been speculation about when these products are due, but there's no major Apple event coming up in the roster within the next month, right? Wrong. Engadget reports that the great Steve Jobs will be giving a mini-keynote to the press on August 7th to introduce a new Apple iMac. Yes folks, this is it. The first major Apple product design update since the transition to Intel processors. Be sure fire up your browsers with auto-refresh pointed at the Apple Store website on the morning of the 7th. benwinship
Great! Now i can finally get an iMac. Although the keyboard is pretty fugly, i'll buy a USB keyboard and mouse, ive never really liked Apple's. I would really like it also if they announced some sort of entry-level Mac Mini, like 2ghz Core 2 Duo and maybe the Radeon X1600 like the current iMacs use. NeSuKuN
And where exactly says that what they are going to announce is a new iMac? they only specified that is something related to mac, they didn't even say that is a new product what they will be announcing next tuesday... By the way it's only an announce, not a true 'keynote'. I don't want to sound rude, I really hope that they release a new mac and the slim keyboard, but to state something that's (AFAIK. I didn't receive a call from Cupertino, did you?) just a rumor isn't adequate for the front-page.
Guest Ramm
... just a rumor isn't adequate for the front-page. InsanelyMac Forum / The Magnificent Seven. / Front Page News and Rumors According to that, it is.
NeSuKuN
I meant that he is telling a rumor as if it were a fact. If you are writing news, you need to make clear what's truth and what's a rumor. delish
Apple said new iMacs would be introduced late july/early august this year, so I guess thats what makes august 7. presentation of new macs a easy add 2 + 2. Its a good chance that Mac Pros get 2x quad cores in more configs too, considering the price drop on socket 771 cpus.
