Abe Froman
I'm trying to install the Jas 10.4.8 SSE2 SSE3 on my computer. The install disc boots fine, restarts okay, then freezes during the setup/registration information process. I know for my XPS M1210 Ihad to disable the dual core to install, do I have to do the same for my D920? If so, how would I disable it on the Asus p5wd2-premium? I didn't see a setting in the bios for it. Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/56522-1048-on-asus-p5wd2-premium-with-d920/ Share on other sites
spiff
i have the same problem using the jas 10.4.8 release. installation runs perfectly then after rebooting it freezes on the light blue screen just before the macosx loading bar would normally come up. specs are: asus p5wd2-e premium pentium d 3.2ghz overclocked to 3.8 ati radeon x1900xtx 512mb 4 sata hdds.. all show up fine in the macosx disk utilities before installing. pretty much the same as the guy above by the sounds of it.. any ideas? Neke
If you still don't have it working, try the uphuck 10.4.9 install. Other than sound and scsi (which won't work) it is working great.
