stryder
I was wondering if OSX86 phones home like Windows does... kind of like a hidden activation feature not found. Well, I do know that Software Update runs when you first boot the OS, and someone mentioned that you shouldn't run Software Update, because it "phones home" (as you put it). I hope nothing happens... Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/5594-does-osx86-8f1111-phone-home/#findComment-35357 Share on other sites
Velvet Nightmare
If you are using the Curtis/Deadmoo installation, one shouldn't feel as much worry about this. Sure, you can be traced via your network, but the real person who's going to bite the bullet is "Curtis" himself. Mactelman
They only know You're using OS X Tiger, when you first register. And for it to send personal information from the "report" or "software update" is a violation of U.S. law.
