Checksum
Hey guys! Just figured out how to install OSX on my PC. The Specs are : P4 2.4c ASUS p4p400 1GB Kingston Hyperx ATI 9800pro I installed OSX 10.4.8 Jas SSE2 SSE3 for Intel. Also installed the intel specific packages. After restart, the apple boot screen comes up, there is hdd activity for about 20 secs, and then the display goes off. There is no action after that whatsoever! I checked for compatibility issues, and there seem to be none. What could the problem be? This is the first time im running OSX, so any help appreciated Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/55911-no-display-after-apple-boot-logo/ Share on other sites

thestevo
Check your monitor configuration. Sometimes if you don't have a plug and play monitor connected the graphics card will set to a resolution that the monitor can not handle when the kext is loaded. If you connect a different monitor it might fix itself. I don't know, thats a real shot in the dark. As far as I know that is a supported card. jruud
Im using the same installer as you, has the same problem with my DEll Dimension 8400. When I changed the graphics card from Ati X300 to nVidia GeForce 6600,my monitor at least keep the boot screen going. But after the loading wheel appears, and loops for about 13 times, it stops, different places on each boot, and I am not able to do anything... EdiT: I has also tred it on my my Sony Trinitron instead of my standard Dell monitor. No differences...
