Hey guys,

Is there any fixes for the Broadcom 57xx ethernet card (device id: 1600)? I've tried a number of fixes for Broadcom 57xx but they don't seem to work for device id 1600.

Also, is there now a fix for Core 2 Duo running with both cores?

Also, is there a working solution for sleep?

Everything else works fine now after I swapped Intel 3945 with a Dell 1490 (for free, just ask Dell). I would love to solve the above mentioned issues too. :pirate2:

Cheers

this machine has a broadcom nic with 1600 device id. I have a DELL m1710 with the same nic, and the network card works, but the computer hangs on http usage.

Havent found a solution yet for this problem.

I am sorry but I have no information on your network card. However, I will say that in both 10.4.8 DVD from JaS and the 10.4.9 DVD from Uphuck, the Core Duo 2 works fine with both cores enabled. I will give you one caveat however, on my setup (below), whenever I enable USB 2.0, I get TERRIBLE performance (stuttering mouse, sound, slow drive access) UNLESS I disable one core. So it may be spotty, but it does work great if you don't need USB 2.0 on 10.4.8 or 10.4.9. I cannot speak to earlier versions since I just got involved in community.

Good luck!
