ok, I've tried everything on this forum to get the keyboard and touchpad to work. This is the problem i'm having, once the computer is up and running, the touchpad works fine, but as soon as i touch a key on the keyboard, they both stop working. Anyone else having this problem? Please someone help!!!!!!

Same exact problem. I have a GRX520 aka heavy ass mobile desktop.

Also the graphics card, which is an ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 is recognized as an ATI card, however system info lists it as 128MB, it is infact only 32MB. Networking is a bit hit and miss too, Well it gets a weird internal IP, but it doesn't function properly. Sound is also a bit buggy as it stutters, but it sorta works.

But yes, same problem, touch pad works fine until I hit a key on the keyboard. Not sure why, haven't really investigated into it.

Gateway MX6030 here. Same exact problems. But i'm only 12 hours into x86 land. It's fun so far. Networking it at work, installing my prefrences from my work G5.

I'm using Apple Remote Desktop from my G5 to control the lappy until we figure out this dead keyboard problem.

I have a Sony Vaio PCG-GRV680. Added the following lines, rebooted, and my keyboard works fine now, touchpad is still dead though, working on that.

Add to end of /Etc/rc

kextunload /System/Library/Extensions/ApplePS2Controller.kext/Contents/PlugIns/ApplePS2Keyboard.kext

kextload /System/Library/Extensions/ApplePS2Controller.kext/Contents/PlugIns/ApplePS2Keyboard.kext

Same problem here with my Acer Travelmate 291.

When I open a window for example the mouse and keyboard hangs up if i move the mouse.

seems osX heangs up while loading the "input controller" when opening a window/application.
