I guess I can take this one one more time.

I have MSI MS-6702 mobo (via chipset) but none of my USB 2.0 devices work (canon scanner and memory card reader) on JAS 10.4.8 SSE2 AMD64 cpu.

Can it be fixed somehow?

Also my optical sound output doesn't work on the AC97, is it possible to turn it on somehow?

I don't know =P, what is it? ;D I can search for it later, 04.41 local time so I need my beauty sleep now. Went to bed 07.30 yesterday, suck ;/

Btw, about this mac shows high speed usb, but when I plug in my memory card reader or try to use the scanner os x doesn't detect any devices.

Should/will it work on AMD cpus aswell?

Shall I install 10.4.8 or 10.4.9 version? (I run 10.4.8)

Under system profiler -> usb -> usb high-speed bus

I have usb storage device, but no disk or so popups on the desktop (this is before installing the above files.)

Similar problem when I plug devices into the front USB ports on my CPU. Devices that will pop up are Storage, such as my external Lacie, but my USB thumb drive does not work. The USB ports at the back work just fine though: HP 840c, Canon Digital Camera. :)

I try this too : latest apple kext (270.4.1) and PCGenEHCI driver but still can't work at hi speed (400MB), only full speed (12MB), so my Ipod and my external drive are slowwwwwwwwwwww...

here is my dmsg output :

USBF: 19. 21 AppleUSBEHCI[0x22cd800]::UIMInitialize - unable to get device memory
USBF:   19. 23  AppleUSBEHCI[0x22cd800]::UIMInitialize - Error occurred (0xe00002be)
USBF: 19. 35 AppleUSBEHCI: unable to initialize UIM

Similair thread and problems: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...&hl=ms-6702

I think this is how it looked before I did anything now (but I already think I've tried various drivers.)

I followed some guide, this is what dmesg says, I don't know if the later lines have anything with this to do, because after all the updates and so on furter down I didn't got it when I plugged in the memory card reader:

This is with the updated Apple debug one I think:

The fixed version doesn't seem to work any good for me, I've ran chmod and chown but no luck anyway:

Same dmesg output as above:

Anyway my memory card reader does show up under high speed bla bla, but it never mounts.

But since we seem to be three people with the same motherboard which got the same problem maybe it can't be fixed :(
