Paulo Greimel
Hi again people! I was feeling so empty after getting my osx working that now I'm trying to improve my experience in it. Now I want to know how I can improve my video card, it is a VIA UniChrome Pro IGP 64MB, system profile says it does not support QE/CI. The screensavers are painfully slow, the movies seem to be fine. Can someone give me an advice? I've tried AGPGart, Titan and Natit. Thanks a lot. Paulo EDIT: How can I make DVD Player run in my laptop dvd rom? Or its not possible? VLC crashes when I try to play a DVD.
YureZzZ
Your DVD Player and VLC will work when you get QE/CI working.
sg
Your DVD Player and VLC will work when you get QE/CI working. you dont need QE or CI to get those working right, simply regular quartz will do. you'll have to get some sort of AGP video card thats supported (nvidia or ati) and even then a PCIx would better but mostly for 3d/games. Paulo Greimel
So you recomend to get a new card that supports QE/CI? Is there any patch to make DVD player work with non apple drivers?
Paulo Greimel
Any idea?
YureZzZ
Any idea? I'm dumb in Mac Os But my DVD Player app starts working after getting QE/CI working. Without it it was crashing. VLC was working without it normally. I don't know how to solve your problem, but it solved mine.
