Asus P5B-E & XFX GEFORCE 8600GT

Hey, i'm gonna buy a new pc and i wanna ask if the hardware that i have chosen it's compatible to run OSx86 (sorry for my english)

Motherboard: Asus P5B-E http://www.asus.com/products4.aspx?modelme...2=11&l3=307

Memories: DDR2 BUFFALO - 1024MB 667MHZ PC2-5400 [ 2x ]

Graphic Card: XFX GEFORCE 8600GT UDD3 http://www.xfxforce.com/web/product/listCo...ationId=1062901

HDD: HITACHI 250GB SATAII

CPU: INTEL CORE 2 DUO E6320 - 1.86 GHZ 1066 MHZ 4MB LGA775

it seems fine to me, the only thing i would say however is that since you are buying a new pc, its best to go for 2gb ram. i myself only have 1gb and osx86 works fine, just that 2gb is better for biggerprograms and multi tasking

8600GT is not supported by OS X at the moment and probably won't be untill 10.5 as there are no drivers. At the moment the most powerfull card which will work is 7900 GTX either the 256 version or the 512 version if you are prepared to reflash the rom. The 8600GT will work with no acceleration, resolution changes (you will be stuck at 1280 x 960 despite your monitor) & no core image or Quartz Extreme.

Thanks :), i think i'm gona buy a Geforce 7600 GT

 

good card and its not expensive at all, gives you the option to get a more expensive one in a few months or a year.
