Reanimation_LP
Specs are : Intel Pentium4 1.6GHz/256KB/400MHz SSE2 only Williamette Core Socket 478 Intel Desktop Board D850EMV2 (400/533MHz Pentium4-based Intel 850 RDRAM mainboard) Built by Nvidia GeForce3 Ti200 64MB VESA 3.0 DVI+VGA (Monitor hooked up to VGA port) Maxtor Fireball3 40GB ATA/133 Hard Disk Drive 768 MB of PC600 Rambus RDRAM in 2x256 and 2x128 pairs Samsung EIDE 616T 16X DVD-ROM Drive It will kernel panic. Using -v switch, it hangs at the No Airport Driver found. Oddly enough, the GeForce3 is correctly identified as a NVDANV20, and the driver kexts are loaded, and it sees the one monitor hooked to it. I was quite surprised by this, but I guess its because its so close if not identical to the ones Apple shipped in the G4 systems. Before you all rag on my rig, just remember this, I threw this together for 36 bucks (the case), the rest of the stuff I had lying around. I'm using the JaS OS 10.4.8 PPF1+PPF2 SSE2/SSE3 Intel/AMD install DVD with the Intel SSE2/SSE3 patches installed, and the 10.4.4 Loginwindow installed as well, no other options checked. Thanks guys. Did it ever work? Mine has the same problem, but I've given more than 10 minutes and it just sits there at the gray screen with the apple on it. Using the -v switch, it hangs at the same place.
