Guest Ramm
Very explanitory, Oracle. How do you mean my delete packages within the ISO? There would be no reason to. Just do a custom install selecting the packages you want. Also, burn with Roxio if you can. Oracle67
hdiutil attach (iso image) -readwrite Use that on Terminal Ramm. (first save a copy of your iso in a safe place) ok? Guest Ramm
Oracle, I am not the one asking the question. I was asking the OP what the point would be, it would be pointless unless he was creating his/her own release. Oracle67
You must to be deeper in the packages and that is dangerous for the DVD functionality. In some files is the "resurces" that have the backround images, texts, icons. etc. Be careful. Maybe Use Pasifist (it is on extra apps on 10.4.7 dvd that i m still seeding). docmac
dash21 Please have a look at this. This iis what I am trying to do >> > http://forum.onmac.net/showthread.php?t=230 <<< After you get your system set the way you want. just make disk image of the osx partition. Then put that in the install .iso an burn After boot from the disk you open Disk utility and restore with the disk image of osx you put on the dvd. To the partition you would normally install to. So no more having to go through the long process of installing drivers, kexts, apps, ect. It will be ready to go just like if you spent hours reinstalling you system! Everytime, BUT in just minutes Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/47990-create-jas-dvd-iso/#findComment-362949 Share on other sites

DOCMAC we are doing the same thing/. you are gonna have a problem once you delete the packages because it will still appear once ytou boot. thats my problem now. this is what im trying to show you: this is at boot. i deleted te packages Jas AMD but it still appears- is there a way to edit this? please help Steps for recreation of dvd. the boot file is part of the iso. it is a hybrid iso... as default, Toast doesnt allow you to make a boot volume. so you need an iso of the dvd. or an iso on the desktop. just change the file extensions. IE(.toast / .iso) *** just select "copy" at the left side and at the top menu. select save as disk image. the file output is a .toast file. (copy it from the bootable iso of JAs) put the image (.toast) file on the desktop. type in the terminal cd ~/Desktop hdiutil attach image.toast -readwrite (image.toast is the name of the file) i was trying to take out the AMD packages but again it still is visible on the menu at boot up. please help...
