RaveGamer
I'm following this guide and I'm stuck at the part where I need to find the "mach_kernel". I can't find it! I've done a Spotlight search and all the came up was "mach_debug". Please help! Also, I downloaded the file "xnu-1048-semthex_2" from the site, is that the right kernel? Sabr
The mach_kernel is a hidden file. You will only see it in Terminal, or unless you turn on "Show hidden files" using a program such an Onyx. To copy it somewhere else (for example, a backup folder on the root of your hard drive), type this: sudo -s (then enter your password when prompted) cp /mach_kernel /backup/mach_kernel You will now see a folder called backup in the root of your drive, and inside will be the mach_kernel file. To check this, type: cd /backup ls You should see mach_kernel show up. Hope I've helped, - SABR.
