jacob019
Hey Everyone, I have attached an AppleScript program which is useful for people with computers that can't sleep. It shuts down the computer if the following conditions are met: 1. The computer has been idle for 5 minutes 2. The computer is running on battery 3. The battery has less than 95% charge This is the shutdown sequence: 1. Auditory countdown from 30, move the mouse or press a button to stop the shutdown 2. Firefox is force quit to preserve the workspace for next boot 3. All programs are closed and all documents are saved, the save feature only works if the file has been saved before 4. All remaining processes are terminated 5. Computer is powered off. The program runs invisibly in the background. It should be loaded at boot. To install it just put the program somewhere on your hard drive and add it to your startup items. Startup items are found at System Preferences > Accounts > Login Items. autoshutdown.zip Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/46645-automatic-shutdown-for-computers-that-cant-sleep/ Share on other sites
