ozric Posted February 28, 2007 Share Posted February 28, 2007 This is my first post, I'm a complete noob in the OSx86 world and after a whole lot of work I managed to install 10.4.8 on my box. So please bare with me. I wonder if anyone could enlighten me why it is so, that after installing I can only access 2 of my 4 SATA-slots? I've got 3 SATA hd's and a DVD-R connected to the ports, and it seems like only port 0 and 1 are accessible. No matter how I connect the drives and DVD-R, only port 0 and 1 will be initialized in the OS. My motherboard is an ASUS P5B. If anyone has any ideas on what could be the cause of this problem, they would be highly appreciated. Thanks! I just found it odd that two slots are accessible, and the other two are as good as dead. What REALLY confuses me, is that the two working slots are in one color, and the non-accessible ones are another. But I find no info in the mobo manual on how/if they differ from eachother.
