I don't want to install yet on my system, so I'm experimenting a vmware machine. If I get it to work, I'll install it using the VMware to Native tutorial by SABR, cause my dvd burner is fubar.

But I'll try again later.

But, since I really wanted to try, I got from another friend a vmware file with

S X already installed in it. (Yeah I know, he is a good pal)

But with both the DVD installer, and with this os x vmware machine, I have the s

me problem: performance. Looks like video performance to me.

Moving the mouse, is not slow, is like, late? I don't know how to explain it. Moving windows, opening menus, the dock bar is very unresponsive. I assume CI or QE won't run in Vmware.

I'd really like to try OS X with at least bearable in VMware before making my move to the actual hd.

My specs.

P4 2.4GHz (SS2), 1,25GB RAM (set the vm machine to 768), Geforce 4 (now, most likely this is the problem)

Wouldn't know if other info is relevant. Guest OS X crashed my host XP (didn't even know a guest machine could crash the entire system), hence the V2.

Any help?

oh, btw. I read about using some commands before booting up. How is this done? How do I access the Darwin prompt before OS X loads?

bump...

yeah, um, great support.

I'm using the tiger.x86.bz2 image (I know it's old, but I just wanted to try). Still, mouse movements, moving windows, etc is very slow.

I'd like to try it native, is there anyway I can copy the vmdk image into a (real) partiton in my PC?
