justin holt
I had everything working properly including sound and internet. Then one of my friends let me borrow the dvds that came with his MacBook Pro. I have FrontRow, GarageBand, iWeb, iMovie HD, and iDVD all installed from those dvds, and they seemed to work. Well, I started playing with iDVD and now, I think iDVD was the source of the problem, I have no sound. Let me rephrase that, sound works, but at a tenth of the speed. I open up iTunes and it takes forever for just 1 second of a song to go by. If it helps, my system specs: Compaq Presario SR1315CL AMD Sempron 3100+ 512 MB RAM Using SiS7012 kext 1 80 gb drive dedicated to OS X 1 160 gb drive for Vista and Ubuntu Could it simply be that I need to reinstall the kext per se? justin holt
FIXED: I found that after i went into the Audio MIDI Setup, I have a 2 channel 16 bit audio card, and a program (now that i think about it, may have been GarageBand) was set to 6 channel. So after changing it back, all is well.
