You can triple boot, you can even quad boot. There are lots of different ways to do it, but it mainly depends on what "bootloader" you want to use. You can use GRUB (linux) or windows or apple's loader. There are MANY guides on this site and other if you search google. Anyways... lets try to keep this thread on the topic of OSx86 on the m1210 =)

I'm still too chicken to mess with 10.4.10, has anyone tried getting Leopard to work on their laptop?

Just to confirm: I am using GRUB, and I have 4 operating systems installed (XP, Ubuntu, 2xOSX). GRUB provides all you need. The most required features of GRUB to make multiple Microsoft operating systems work is probably "chainloader" and "makeactive".

A hint added: There are many guides on the internet. Try to find one, which shows you how to install GRUB on its own partition. This makes the whole setup more flexible, meaning that you can drop/move/change/upgrade/add operating systems whenever you need. The independent GRUB partition (just a few megabytes big) contains all the binaries and configuration files needed to start the operating systems installed.

My solution to this: I am using Ubuntu Linux for some development. I have therefore used the Ubuntu installation CD to set up GRUB and all partitions. You can download it from "ubuntu.com". The installation program installs and configures GRUB. If you don't need Ubuntu, you are free to scratch it after installation, leaving just GRUB behind (remember to use a separate partition for it).

1. If you're using a new iso that this guide isn't written for, you're complicating things for yourself. If you can't find that version, KingTKS said that the uphuck 1.4 works.

2. Doesn't matter which card as they're the same broadcom chip.

3. Keep reading guides, keep researching, keep trying. When it comes to things like that, people very rarely get them right on the first try, unless they've done it many times before.

Good luck

Anyone else experience that when starting up on cable and when going to battery the cpu goes from 2GHz to 1GHz and when plug in cable it's not going up to 2GHz again? that is some kind of speedstep issue... how do I fix that?

Is it possible to get SideTrack to work with a m1210?

would be nice to get the scrolling on the touchpad working....

I have done a lot of rediculous research on the trackpad scrolling issue. there is only one option i found and it's very ghetto. i got trackpad to scroll with two fingers and what not but it jacked up regular use. made it hyper sensitive and jumpy. I would not recommend it. if you want more info i mentioned it earlier in this forum. it would be an easy thing to create but i'm no programmer.

Since the onboard webcam doesn't work, would plugging in the original iSight camera via firewire work?

Also if Leopard has any different way of installation?I'm using the 1210 at the moment and I'd really only try installing this if iChat AV works with Any external USB or Firewire camera.

2GB RAM nVidia gpu2Ghz100GB hdd

I will get wireless card once anyone has success with the above suggestion. cheerios!
