hitman38
Hi everyone I wonder anything having as much trouble with sound drivers as i am for Vista. I have purchased Windows Vista Home Premium, the install all went fine so did all other drivers eg graphics. To install the sound drivers i need Vista compatible drivers right?, so i went to the RealTek and downloaded the lastest Vista drivers for the RealTek ALC850 the install went fine but now i don't get full 5.1 sound with any type of sound it is only left and right speakers, i have change it to 5.1 in the Sound properties in control panal that didn't make any differece, DVDs that works perfectly in media center or WMP full 5.1. So i don't know what to do. Has anyone else had this problem? My specs are: AMD Athlon64 3700+ ASUS A8N-SLI Premium with the ReaTek ALC850 builtin 2GB of RAM nVidia 6600GT 256MB DVD-+RW Drive Seagate 300GB SATAII Hard Drive Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/41532-vista-sound-problems/ Share on other sites
