I was thinking why my radeon x300 wasn't recognized in tiger...and i get an idea, what if i would download mac drivers for ati x300 from www.ati.com?

Probaly it won't work, ha?

Dont take me word bu word, but I have been reading that if you atleast are running ATI Radeon cards that are using Samsung memories you are able to actually flash the memory with the MAC version. I am not sure but I think it has to do with the Samsung memories being 128K instead of 64K so they are able to take the larger Mac bios.

DON take me word by word, couse it was very late when I read about it and I cant remember where I read about it :)

Search for it on the google, and if you find any good answers, pleaze post back here for us others to try out....if we dare :D

Allways a risky business with flashing your videcard bios. be carefull and dont do anything hasty, rather take your time and read up on the subject.

HI!!! you do not need drivers for this graphic card, I resolve the problem easy

In darwin boot menu jus type "Graphics Mode"="1024x768x32" -x

then you start in safe mode, inside MAC OS go to System/library/Extensions and DELETE ALL ATI kext, then restart and DONE.

It works to me.

Interesting ... are you saying that once you removed the ATI kexts, Mac OS recognizes your X300? You're able to set the resolution, refresh, etc. from the control panel?

I haven't been able to get raise my refresh rate > 60Hz with my X800.
