p3nixn Posted January 31, 2007 Share Posted January 31, 2007 Okay so i can like install like 2-3gb.. i got the Tubgirl Release....10.4.6 (jas) and 10.4.8(jas) 3 Versions.. they install i put them on partition but then whenever i try to boot from that partition or hard drive it just tells me to hit f8 for setup then gives white text on black screen. never finishes get different errors and problems every time so i cant really explain. and lastly... sometimes it takes like 5-7 hours to install i can install windows in about .... 15 mins...super fast but this dont work.. yes my specs work i have been told multiple times, so please dont ask for my specs I need some "in depth" help Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/40569-install-6-hours/ Share on other sites More sharing options...

You should be able to install with the hardware you have but you need a compatible video card. JaS DVDs have ATI chipset packages. http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php Instead of racking your brain, install cpuz and see what it says your cpu is. How are disk drives hooked up, do you have your DVD and HDD on the same cable with the DVD set to slave? Also he already had a processor, so the easy way is a compatible chipset with the proc.
