Ouch, not many people have had luck with the at xpress 200, that chipset is very poorly supported.

Sorry to be a super noob here.. but is chipset in motherboard or what?can i get new one? ect...:) expand please.. im sure buying some parts would be better than fricken buying a mac :)

but SATA doesnt work on nforce 4 yet. so id go intel, but as ur a amd cpu, nVidia would be ur best bet

Name some cheap.. nvidia's that i could get that would work.. currently im sure my motherboard is {censored}..

And things that arent expensive that i could buy to get it to work

Thanks

Is your cpu a 939 or 754. You should be able to install with the hardware you have but you need a compatible video card. JaS DVDs have ATI chipset packages.

Instead of racking your brain, install cpuz and see what it says your cpu is.

How are disk drives hooked up, do you have your DVD and HDD on the same cable with the DVD set to slave?

You are terribly wrong, it is working, MeDevil developed a working kext. just visit the Darwin nForce4 ATA/SATA controller Thread: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=35985

And it is fast, faster than any AppleVIAATA trick.

Also he already had a processor, so the easy way is a compatible chipset with the proc.
