I installed the latest version (beta 2) of 10.4.8 (JaS). When my system boots after installation I get this error:

"System config file /com.apple.Boot.plist not found"

Since I havent done anything exciting/different than other installations I did before 10.4.8 I have no clue what so ever what can be wrong.

Anyone familiar with this error and how to fix it or is it the install DVD? I didnt get any errors during install and I retried it 2 times with the same result... ;)

I had the same error. I even couldn't install 10.4.8 through vmWare.

I installed 10.4.7(vmWare method, standard install causes "System config file /com.apple.Boot.plist not found" error) and then simply updated it to 10.4.8.

I don't know how to get rid of this error without 10.4.7 .

Is there an easy way to update a freshly installed 10.4.7 system? Or do you have a tut. you followed?
