dapurno
I installed the latest version (beta 2) of 10.4.8 (JaS). When my system boots after installation I get this error: "System config file /com.apple.Boot.plist not found" Since I havent done anything exciting/different than other installations I did before 10.4.8 I have no clue what so ever what can be wrong. Anyone familiar with this error and how to fix it or is it the install DVD? I didnt get any errors during install and I retried it 2 times with the same result... kovpas
I had the same error. I even couldn't install 10.4.8 through vmWare. I installed 10.4.7(vmWare method, standard install causes "System config file /com.apple.Boot.plist not found" error) and then simply updated it to 10.4.8. I don't know how to get rid of this error without 10.4.7 . dvornik
In my case I got this error when the DVD drive was connected to a Jmicron controller that OSX was not able to access. scguy318
I believe the message is a result of the DVD attempting to boot from hard drive, since you did not press anything to initiate the installation.
