Hello Guys,

I've got a ISO of the 10.4.7 DVD (Patched by JaS), and it works fine for me in VMWare. Im suprised of the power from Mac OS X, and wanna give it a try as Dual-Boot OS.

My Computer is a:

- Motherboard: P5RD1-VM, ASUS

- Processor: Pentinum 4 3,06 GHz HT

- HDD: 2, 1 of 80 GB and 1 of 40 GB

- Graphics: ATi Radeon X300 on a ASUS pci-ex card (128mb)

(If you need more info, tell me)

On the 80 GB disk, i have 2 partitions. 1 of 40GB with Windows XP on it (The first partition on HD1, hd(0,0) Correct me if im wrong) and 1 of 40GB with my data on it (Partition 2 on HD1, hd(0,1)).

My 40GB disk is empty. When i create a partition on it, it will be Partition 1 on HD2, hd(1,0). On this disk i wanna install Mac OS X.

I've made myself a plan how to install the dual-boot.

1. Make a image of the WinXP partition, and from the data

2. Install WinGrub, make 2 rules, WinXP to hd(0,0) and MacOSX to hd(1,0)

3. Boot with the DVD of MacOSX, make a partition on HD2

4. Install MacOSX on this partition (With the patch, and SSE3)

5. Reboot and have fun with WinXP and MacOSX on a Dual-Boot

Will this work? I've read some howto's of dual-boots with OSx86, and about the installation, and with my knowledge i created this plan. Do i forget some steps? Do i have to make the partition of OSX to the active partition? Will my configuration (my PC hardware) work with OSX?

Excuse me for my bad english, and already thanks ;)

The chain0 isn't necessary for all. If you use the chain 0 method it means XP is your active partition. My active partition is OSX and so darwin is my bootloader. Not chain 0.

I don't know if it matters which it is but for me it's less work to keep it as darwin.
