I have a ATI Radeon Mobility x1600 graphics card and I need to get it working on a resolution of 1280x800 or whatever. First of all, what files do I need, and HOW DO I INSTALL IT?!?!??! lol Remember I am a complete n00b so I need really easy instructions lol or if there's like some form of LogMeIn for mac if someone could maybe remote control my pc that would be good (to install it) thanks, please help! I know there are two versions of nx9420 at 1600 and 1920 res. Anybody have a problem with expertvision hd2600 pro (512mb+hdmi): after booting from CD system writing on screen message like this "......Vesa 3.0.....(Ati Atombios)" after press any key for installing system the PC reboot. Funny but on my mainboard (Foxconn) present internal videocard from via (s3 delta chrome-chipset VIA K8M890CE) and after removing ati card PC normally booting and I install Mac OS. Silvery Posted November 27, 2008 Share Posted November 27, 2008 I just arrived @ my Windows... I tried some things to get my F3JA running with ideneb v1.3 Leo 10.5.5 and ATI Radeon Mobility X1600. I took the Files from Post #401 and changed Vendor an Device ID plus EDID. After permission repair and so on - reboot. But it didn´t work really. is divded in some lines and every line starts a little bit more right. unix seems to work but not my screen with this. if someone has an idea please write something. greetz Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Karagath Posted March 14, 2009 Share Posted March 14, 2009 okay for everybody here are my used kexts...u only have to enter ur EDID into the info.plist in the ATIinject.kext with Apples Plist Editor (from Genius bar) repair permissions chown and chmod ATIinject.kext (u should know how 2 do this ) reboot and enjoy full res, QE/CI... only one issue is left: as soon as you close the lid and reopen the image is garbage and u have to reboot the machine... cheers sheriff Excellent, this worked for me! I don't have qe / ci tried with framebuffer working yet (without it gives a kernel-panic anyway....) Max hello maxx first of all i really appreciate your work . You are very kind to show as Noobs many many things with your atiinject and all the other kexts i have managed to have my x1600 working at 1440x900 in my laptop panel the only problem is that qe is not working quite well . i have transparent menu , i mean completely transparent , and all other effects that rely on qe fail like the ripple effect on widget or screen savers or showview etc. i think it might have to do something with opengl framework. i have tried forcing qe with osxtools even though in system profiler says supported but nothing any solutions i'm open ... i use ipc 10.5.6 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Do you think this atiinject.kext will help me at all? I must admit i'm not sure what the kext does as the info on it is littered around a bit! Any help would be really appreciated!
