michalsmith
Hey everyone, I’ve been working on my Hackintosh setup and managed to get macOS Ventura running on my system (specs below). Most things are working fine, but I’ve hit a wall trying to get audio working properly. Here’s my setup: Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix B450-F CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 GPU: Radeon RX 580 Bootloader: OpenCore (latest version) macOS Version: Ventura 13.6 The issue is that macOS isn’t detecting my audio device at all. I’ve tried using AppleALC with various layout IDs in my config.plist, but no luck so far. The audio device shows up in the BIOS, so it’s definitely enabled, but macOS just doesn’t seem to recognize it. Things I’ve tried so far: Checked my ACPI patches. Added and tested multiple layout IDs for AppleALC. Ensured alcid was added correctly under boot arguments. Confirmed my audio codec (ALC1220) is supported by AppleALC. Still no sound output, and the audio device doesn’t appear in System Preferences. Has anyone else had this issue with a similar setup? I’d appreciate any tips or suggestions on what I might be missing. Also, if you’ve got a working config.plist for a similar build, that would be awesome! Thanks in advance 😊
