General Discussion on OSx86 Project installation with ethernet adapters. Any Advice?

Hi everyone,

I’m diving into the OSx86 Project and planning to install macOS on my PC. I’ve heard that using ethernet adapters can play a crucial role in the installation process, especially for downloading necessary files and drivers.

Could anyone share their experiences with using ethernet adapters during the OSx86 installation? Are there specific adapters that work better with this project? I’m also curious if a wired connection improves stability and speeds during the installation.

Additionally, if there are any tips or common pitfalls to watch out for when installing OSx86, I would really appreciate your advice.

I want to ensure a smooth setup and make the most out of my experience. Thanks in advance for your help, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

Hello there! I'm not an expert on this, I just have a year of using a Hackintosh, I think during installation nothing gets downloaded from the Internet, but it's still required to have an Ethernet device or compatible Wi-Fi card. Almost all ethernet devices works, you only need to have the correct kext.
