ltooz_audis Posted 5 hours ago Share Posted 5 hours ago Ok, after building a gaming computer for my son to play game, I decided to use it to install macOS Sonoma and Sequoia after reading like crazy on the hackintosh communities. So now I share how to get both of these macOS installed on this AMD gaming system. Components: Gigabyte B550 UD AC motherboard, Ryzen 5 5600, XFX RX 6750XT, TeamGroup TFORCE DDR4 3600, WD_Black SN770 2TB, Thermaltake Smart BX1 750W, NZXT H5 FLow, Thermalite RBG LED Fans. AMD vanilla setup for hackintosh all we need is to use the latest OC 1.02, Lilu 1.68, Whatervergreen 1.67, Apple ALC 1.9, nootrx 1.0.0, and some other important kexts for AMD to run. ACPI all we need is the SSDT-CPUR.aml and SSDT-EC-USBX-DESKTOP.aml The most important thing is to go to BIOS and enable "over 4G decoding" and "resize bar" to auto under settings, ioports. Without this, it won't run and just get stuck there. We need to install first with whatevergreen.kext without KP. We need to have 23 kernel patches for both Sonoma and Sequoia. We need to have nothing in the deviceproperties. When we can boot in the OS then we can replace the whatevergreen with nootrx kext, but make sure to clear nvram before booting or you will have kernel panic. The sound I set alcid = 69 and ethernet use Realtekrtl8111.kext to have LAN connected. The wifi on this one is not working at the moment but I don't really need it. It's quite painless to install macOS Sonoma and Sequoia on this gaming computer, much easier than Intel one. With Desktop motherboard, we can dual boot windows and macOS without any problems with OC. I attached the working config.plist with smbios macpro 7,1, just replace the serial # with a good one to make sure to get imessage and facetime to work. Don't forget to put the ROM with your ethernet mac address. In the config there are all the patches needed to install upto Sequoia because Sonoma and Sequoia they have different patches. There are not many kexts and SSDT to download - except you want to put computer to sleep, wake, wifi... I'll update with DRM and sleep, wake when I decided which OS I'm going to use.
