mnfesq
I have had this problem in both Sonoma and Sequoia - I don't think I had it before then. Using the most current versions of Lilu and AppleALC, my Realtek ALC295 audio works but regularly stops working when I am listening to audio in any web browser. Here's the strange part: If I open up Sound System Preferences and go to the Audio Input tab, audio starts working again. If I keep Sound System Preferences open, I do not lose sound. It only happens when I am listening to audio from a web page and Sound System Preferences->Audio Input is not open. Does anyone have any idea what's going on? Is there any diagnostic tool or operation that might disclose the source of the problem?
miliuco
@mnfesq It doesn't happen to me. Does it happens to you with any browser?

It definitely happens with Edge and Firefox. I think it also happens with Safari and Chrome.
